Most discussions of the top boxers in MMA will include Alex Pereira and Nick Diaz. The Stockton native is an early adopter of boxing techniques in mixed martial arts, including a wide variety of body strikes and the use of a relentless onslaught of punches to overwhelm opponents.
The American is part of the category of boxers known as "out-boxers." Their strategy is built on amassing damage on an opponent, breaking them down with clean, accurate punches until they can't take it anymore.
It's safe to say that Nick Diaz will always have an opinion regarding boxing in mixed martial arts, given his extensive knowledge of the discipline and his vast sparring experience with the likes of former two-weight boxing champion Andre Ward.

Reigning UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, a fighter with a reputation for being a formidable boxer in his own right, recently shared some training footage of him hitting the mitts.
MMA fans were delighted by the skills demonstrated in the video, with numerous fans suggesting that Pereira seemed to be on course to win his fourth match against Israel Adesanya in their multi-sport rivalry.
Nick Diaz took to his Instagram Stories to react to the video titled "Pereira insane boxing," and unlike the vast majority of fans who were thrilled by the footage, the former Strikeforce welterweight champion wasn't really impressed:
"I don't see it?"

What did Alex Pereira say about Jon Jones competing in the heavyweight division?
Alex Pereira is currently preparing for his rematch against rival Israel Adesanya, whom he beat at UFC 281 to lay hands on the UFC middleweight championship. The fight will take place at UFC 287 on April 8, 2023, at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, United States.
The promotion's next pay-per-view marks the return of Jon Jones, who will take on former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.
Prior to the bout being finalized, Jones was linked to a potential clash with Francis Ngannou. However, Ngannou's departure from the UFC forced the organization to take a different route.
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Pereira offered his take on how well Jones will fare in the heavyweight division:
“I think he’s really coming to dominate. It’s never easy, but I think this fight [with Gane] will be much harder than if he had fought Ngannou. Ngannou is stronger and would want to trade punches with Jon Jones, and Jon Jones is very experienced [and] has great defense, so I think Jon Jones would beat Ngannou [easier]."
