Nico Carrillo has completely torn his way through the bantamweight Muay Thai division since his arrival in ONE Championship.
Once he moved to the weight class in his second fight, the Scottish striker has climbed right to the top by knocking out every man that gets put in front of him.
If there's one thing that has defined his run in the promotion to date it is his ferocious power that he carries in his hands.
His ability to land on and hurt opponents is a great equalizer but Carrillo doesn't believe that it makes up for weaker aspects to his game.

The 'King of the North' is confident that he can compete at the highest level in every facet of Muay Thai.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, he spoke about his all-round game and why he chooses to ignore them in favor of his boxing skills:
"I am a very good Muay Thai fighter. I'm not just a boxer, I'm very good at clinching, and I'm very good at kicking. Very good at all this. I choose not to do it in there because I would rather use the weapons of having four-ounce gloves on."

Nico Carrillo might be put to the test in this field at ONE 170
The boxing and power of Nico Carrillo is going to be absolutely crucial in his upcoming fight at ONE 170.
On January 24 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, he will challenge Superlek for the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.
Though his power is the clear advantage that he holds in this fight, his opponent might just be the most well-rounded striker in the world right now.
Carrillo may need to use every tool he has even if he's doing that to then set up a big power shot.
