UFC content creator Nina-Marie Daniele reacted on Instagram after Merab Dvalishvili broke Georges St-Pierre's record for most takedowns landed. Dvalishvili put on a performance of a lifetime on Saturday night as he defended his title and took the unbeaten record of Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311.
Dvalishvili came in as an underdog and silenced his doubters. During this memorable title defense, the 34-year-old achieved yet another astounding feat. The bantamweight champion surpassed UFC Hall of Famer and former two-division champion Georges St. Pierre for the most takedowns landed in the UFC.
Dvalishvili landed seven takedowns on Nurmagomedov and now holds the record at 91. The UFC's official Instagram handle posted about Dvalishvili's achievement and wrote:
"With his 6th takedown last night, @Merab.Dvalishvili officially passed Georges St-Pierre for most takedowns landed in UFC history with 91 💥"
