Nina-Marie Daniele's praise for Shara Magomedov's creativity sparks mixed fan reactions: "Why he beat the f**k out of some guy?"

Nina-Marie Daniele's praise for Shara Magomedov appears to have elicited mixed reactions. This comes after Daniele's training session with Shara 'Bullet' aka 'The Pirate.'

Born in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia, Magomedov (14-0 MMA) is a Muay Thai savant who's 3-0 in the UFC since his promotional debut in Oct. 2023. The 30-year-old faces Armen Petrosyan next in a middleweight bout at UFC 308 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., on Oct. 26.

Influencer and UFC personality Nina-Marie Daniele tweeted a photograph of herself alongside Magomedov and wrote:

Fight fans seemed divided over Nina-Marie Daniele's post, with many bringing up Shara Magomedov's infamous mall altercation incident. A fan seemingly alluded to Daniele's 'vermin' jibe at polarizing British YouTuber MMA Guru and asked whether she'd similarly label Magomedov.

Daniele has sometimes been criticized for associating with UFC stars Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland. Pereira has faced allegations of se*ual assault, whereas Strickland served time in prison. One observer jabbed at her posing with Shara Magomedov:

A look at the Shara Magomedov escalator incident and more

A Diario AS report in June 2022 indicated that Shara Magomedov was involved in an altercation with a man, as seen in video footage from a Dagestani mall from earlier that year. The footage showed an individual, allegedly Magomedov, notice a couple briefly engage in a public display of affection.

Magomedov verbally confronted him before they got off the escalator and the man seemed to punch the MMA fighter. They engaged in grappling and striking exchanges before being separated by others. From footage procured via another camera, Magomedov waited for the man at another entry point, ambushing him with a knockdown punch and then stomping his head.

As reported by Sport1, Shara Magomedov, who's a devout Muslim, implied that he confronted the couple because of the "unwritten rules" in Makhachkala. He and the man reportedly reached a compensation agreement after the March 15, 2022, incident, but they faced legal charges for violating public order.

Magomedov was arrested in June after the video went viral. With Makhachkala and all of Dagestan being an Islamic-majority region, he underscored that such public displays of affection were prohibited because they were against their religious beliefs. Furthermore, Magomedov's other much-discussed public altercation saw him kick his BJJ opponent at an ADCC event in 2023.
