Nina-Marie Daniele reacted to former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka’s heartfelt gesture for a fan battling cancer.

Prochazka is set to face Jamahal Hill at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, on Jan. 18. Ahead of the fight, during the UFC 311 pre-fight press conference, the Czech fighter appeared with a shaved head, leaving many wondering about the reason behind the change.

Prochazka explained that he shaved his head to show support for Ashly McGarity, a fan who is battling cervical cancer and would be attending the event.

Additionally, Prochazka announced he would be donating 1 million Czech Koruna to his foundation to support oncology patients, celebrating his milestone of reaching 1 million Instagram followers. Inspired by this gesture, UFC CEO Dana White pledged to contribute as well, announcing a $50,000 donation.

Prochazka was last seen in action at UFC 303 in a rematch against reigning light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, where he suffered a second-round knockout loss.

Jiri Prochazka is confident of overcoming Jamahal Hill's challenge

Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill are both coming off devastating knockout losses to Alex Pereira in their last fights. Prochazka, known for his unorthodox striking style, is preparing for the challenge of Hill’s more technical striking game.

In the third episode of UFC’s Embedded series for UFC 311, the Czech fighter emphasized that at this stage of his career, ‘Sweet Dreams’ is the right opponent for him. Prochazka broke down the matchup and shared what fans can expect from the fight, stating:

"I'm fighting Jamahal Hill. This is the opponent who I feel right now is right for me, and I'm ready for that. I think it's a good matchup, where both are stand-up guys. I like pressure, Jamahal's style is relaxed. He has a few dangerous things that I have to be ready for, and I am. But I see the space. I see the timing, the movement, when I will catch him."
