Nina-Marie Daniele reacted to Sean Strickland accepting David Goggins' challenge for an intense week of training.

Earlier this week, Goggins called out Strickland on social media. The retired United States Navy Seal challenged the former UFC middleweight champion to participate in his week-long training regiment, which became popular in the MMA community when Tony Ferguson completed the task in late 2023.

Strickland has never shied away from someone calling him out, leading to a quick response on Instagram. The 33-year-old middleweight contender had this to say:

"David Goggins, I heard you want a piece, challenge accepted. Just so you know man, the only thing you'll ever beat me at in life is running. Guess what? I don't have to f*cking run. You run from me."

Nina Marie-Daniele, a friend of Sean Strickland, reacted to the former middleweight champion's Instagram video by saying this in the comments section:

"Challenge should consist of Navy Seal training and a sparring session Loser carries the boats and the logs LOL."

What's next for Sean Strickland under the UFC banner?

On January 20, Sean Strickland was dethroned from his UFC middleweight throne without a title defense. The result was somewhat controversial, as Dricus du Plessis defeated Strickland by split decision in the UFC 297 main event.

Four months later, Strickland made his octagon return against Paulo Costa at UFC 302. The top-ranked middleweights competed in a non-title five-round bout, with Strickland getting his hand raised by split decision.

Following UFC 302, Strickland was asked about a potential number-one contender bout against Robert Whittaker. The former middleweight champion shut down the possibility of fighting Whittaker, as he plans to wait for a title shot.

On Aug. 17, Du Plessis looks to defend his 185-pound strap for the first time. To do so, 'Stillknocks' must take out former middleweight king Israel Adesanya in the UFC 305 main event, which goes down inside the RAC Arena in Australia.
