Jake Peacock claimed there was "no real threat or danger" in his latest Muay Thai fight. On April 5, Peacock fought under the ONE Championship banner for the first time at ONE Friday Fights 58.

The Canadian-British Muay Thai fighter has been overcoming adversity throughout his combat sports career, and things will get more difficult on the global stage of the promotion.

Peacock passed his first test against Kohei Shinjo with a unanimous decision win. The 31-year-old was focused on enjoying himself and appreciating the moment, which he explained by saying this during an interview with Sportskeeda MMA:

"You wait four months for a fight, it's a big buildup then you have nine minutes of work, nine minutes of enjoyment. It goes so quick and getting the finish, it goes even quicker. I just wanted to enjoy myself. There was no real threat or danger there. At the time, I was in control, so I was trying to showcase everything I had and really soak up the moment of being in Lumpinee Stadium. Would never underestimate anybody."

Following his debut win, Jake Peacock holds a professional record of 13-1. He now looks to continue building momentum when he makes his second promotional appearance, this time in North America.

Jake Peacock plans to secure second promotional win at ONE 169: Atlanta

On November 8, ONE Championship will host their second North American event of the calendar year, this time in Atlanta, Georgia. ONE 169 features four title fights with various non-championship matchups showcasing the promotion's talent earlier in the night.

Jake Peacock is scheduled to compete in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout against Shinji Suzuki.

The Japanese-born fighter holds a 1-1 promotional record, including a unanimous decision win against Han Zi Hao last time out. Suzuki looks to capitalize on the hype around Peacock by pulling off an upset win.

ONE 169 will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. In the main event, three-sport MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin plans to defend his heavyweight throne against the hard-hitting 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane.

Fans interested in attending the event can find tickets on Ticketmaster.
