The ONE bantamweight MMA world championship remains around the waist of Fabricio Andrade following a wondrous defense against Kwon Won Il at ONE 170 on Friday, Jan. 24. However, a familiar name called next dibs at the gold: Stephen Loman.

The Filipino veteran's team, Lions Nation MMA, posted a video of 'The Sniper' congratulating Andrade on his first-round TKO of Kwon immediately after the fight while staking his claim to be Andrade's next challenger. Loman declared:

"Let's give the fans what they want. You versus me for that ONE Bantamweight World Title. No more talk — just action. What do you say, champ?"

This is no surprise to many fans as Loman was well on his way to fighting for the gold before former 145-pound MMA king John Lineker snapped his three-fight winning streak in September 2023.

Loman has already experienced the highs of being a world champion before signing with the world's largest martial arts promotion in February 2021. Now, he wants to further establish his legacy by taking the bantamweight MMA world championship from Andrade in whatever way possible.

Fabricio Andrade throws shade on Stephen Loman's ONE tenure

Fabricio Andrade had some choice words for Stephen Loman's early success in ONE, even going so far as to criticize where his first three opponents were in their careers before fighting the 29-year-old.

Andrade said in a past interview with the promotion:

"He's fought veterans, hey. He hasn't fought nobody near their prime. Saadulaev? Come on man, the guy's near the end of his career, you know. Shoko Sato he's still tough, but also near the end of his career. Now Bibiano. That's what I'm trying to explain to you, you know."
