“No way we're ever fighting” - Lightweight champ Christian Lee says he’ll leave the division once brother Adrian becomes a contender

Christian Lee addressed the elephant in the room when it came to his younger brother Adrian's budding mixed martial arts career.

The 18-year-old wunderkind put the entire 170-pound MMA division on notice with back-to-back incredible submission wins over Antonio Mammarella and Nico Cornejo.

While the younger Lee still has a long way to go to reach contender status, it is noteworthy that his big brother/head coach still lords over the lightweight MMA ranks.

However, given Adrian Lee's apparent prodigious skills and his career's upward trajectory, it won't be surprising if he emerges as a championship challenger sooner rather than later.

Appearing on the Brian Campbell Experience on YouTube, Christian Lee gave a straight-up answer about the possibility, or lack thereof, of a brother-on-brother showdown in the home of martial arts. He said:

"There's no way we're ever fighting. Obviously, and Adrian are so close. We train together every day, so when the time comes and Adrian is ready and he's knocking at the door, I'll gladly leave the division and the belt will be all his."

Christian Lee, of course, holds both the lightweight and welterweight MMA world titles simultaneously. By the looks of it, 'The Warrior' will look to stay at 185 pounds once his sibling reaches the top of the lightweight top 5.

Christian Lee confident he'll snap Alibeg Rasulov's undefeated record

Christian Lee will be tested in his first MMA bout in nearly two years.

The double champ will end his hiatus on Dec. 6 when he faces undefeated Turkish star Alibeg Rasulov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 26 inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the same interview, Lee admitted he respects Rasulov's impeccable run so far, but said he doesn't see himself being dethroned this coming Friday. He said:

"I do have the confidence that I'm going to get through this match quickly. You know, all the respect to Rasulov, he's a great opponent, he's undefeated, but yeah, I think that he's just not ready for what I have to offer and what I bring to the table."
