Filipina-American striking star and former ONE world title challenger Jackie Buntan is getting herself prepped and ready to square off with women's kickboxing icon 'C18' Anissa Meksen.

But despite Meksen's previous beef with Buntan's teammate Janet Todd over the past few years, the 27-year-old California resident says none of that emotion will make it into the ring.

Buntan is ready to put on a clinic and take home the ONE Championship gold, and that's that.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Buntan says she's all business heading into the Meksen showdown.

The Filipina-American star said:

"None of that matters to me, it’s just another day in the office. Any contract I sign, it’s just another work case, another project really."

Buntan is set to face Algerian-French legend Meksen in a duel for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship.

The two lock horns at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Nov. 8.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda MMA for all the latest news and updates surrounding the event.

Jackie Buntan studied Anissa Meksen's loss to Phetjeeja and found fault: "I saw a lot of weaknesses"

Jackie Buntan believes she may have discovered the holes in Anissa Meksen's performance against Phetjeeja last year that could propel her to victory at ONE 169 on Prime Video.

Studying that fight carefully, Buntan was hardly impressed by what she saw from her Algerian-French opponent.

The 27-year-old told Sportskeeda MMA:

"Yeah, I definitely watched that fight given it was her last fight too, her most recent one. Yeah, I saw a lot of strengths on Phetjeeja’s end and I saw a lot of weaknesses on Anissa’s end. I also have an idea of how Anissa moves, kind of her thought process behind her movement."
