For those looking to imitate the deadly precision of ONE Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, he’s made it a little easier. The bantamweight champ recently met up with ONE Championship commentator Mitch Chilson to demonstrate his right hook technique, as well as common errors.

Watch the video below:

Gaiyanghadao has earned the right to teach a devastating strike over a lengthy career with over three hundred Muay Thai fights. He’s accumulated two Thailand national Muay Thai championships, four Lumpinee Stadium world championships, one Rajadamnern Stadium championship, and most recently, the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.

In his next assignment, he'll put that right hand to the task against Alaverdi Ramazanov of Russia on January 13 at ONE on Prime Video 6. Alaverdi is coming off a close win over Capitan Petchyindee at ONE 161 last September.

The bout takes place on the first card of the year for ONE Championship, set to air on Amazon Prime in US prime time from Bangkok, Thailand. Fans with an Amazon subscription will be able to watch the event live and for free on Prime Video.

Jonathan Haggerty puts his name in the hat as potential challenger to Nong-O

With Gaiyanghadao ruling the bantamweight division with an iron fist, fresh challengers are always needed. One Brit who’s not afraid to contend with the champ is Jonathan Haggerty.

The former ONE flyweight world champion pointed to his natural advantages as a cause for interest in a fight with Nong-O. He expressed his thoughts on the potential fight in an interview with ONE Championship:

“I don’t want to think ahead, but I really do think my footwork and my style will be a real challenge for Nong-O Gaiyanghadao. My youth, my fitness, and the way I’m going to feel now at bantamweight.”

So far, younger fighters haven’t been an issue for Nong-O in ONE, but Haggerty is one of the most promising fighters on the ONE Championship Muay Thai roster. Still only twenty-five years old, he’s already notched wins over Joseph Lasiri and Sam-a Gaiyanghadao in his time with ONE. In a potential matchup, Haggerty would be the younger fighter by eleven years.

Of course, he'll first have to earn his shot at Nong-O. 'The General' will take on Russian Vladimir Kuzmin at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. The bout will mark Haggerty’s seventh in the promotion and, if successful, will mark a three-fight win streak.

Haggerty last appeared against Mongolpetch Petchyindee in February, taking an exciting three-round decision victory over the Thai veteran.
