Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is preparing for all possibilities for his highly anticipated main event at ONE Friday Fights 1.

The Muay Thai legend will return to the world-famous Lumpinee Stadium in his home country with the goal of once again defending his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.

Standing in the way of another successful defense is streaking Russian standout Alaverdi Ramazanov. Earning wins in his last three Muay Thai outings, all against former world champions, Ramaznov is an incredibly dangerous contender, capable of knocking out anyone that stands in his way.

To properly prepare, Nong-O is not just developing one game plan going into the main event clash. He has multiple queued up and ready to go.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Nong-O revealed that he has studied his opponent extensively and will be ready for anything Ramazanov brings to the circle.

“It’s easy. Knowing the enemy and knowing yourself in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. I would thoroughly study every opponent. I’m not just preparing a single game plan, but I got two, three or four ahead up my sleeve.”

The event will be locally broadcast live in Thailand, but fans around the world can catch all the action on ONE Championship’s YouTube channel and through the ONE Super App.

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao trains harder to keep up with a younger generation of fighters

When 36-year-old Nong-O Gaiyanghadao steps into the main event of ONE Friday Fights 1 at Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, he will do so against a fighter eight years his younger. Despite the age gap between himself and Ramazanov, Nong-O enters the bout as a significant favorite.

As far as how Nong-O continues to be dominant and defy father time, the key, he says, is simple. It’s all about training harder and staying active.

“I’m getting older. I have to train more to stay strong. And I’m the kind of person who gets irritated If I don't practice. So, I have to train hard to fight with younger opponents. I try to be active all the time even during the past New Year holidays. Intensity may drop a bit, but I still went jogging to stay active every day. Never stay idle.”

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will go for his seventh ONE world title defense and his 265th career victory overall under the bright lights of Lumpinee Stadium.
