Before Nong-O Hama returns to action on April 21, rewatch one of the coldest and most violent fights of his career against Algerian striker Mehdi Zatout.
As Mehdi Zatout quickly learned, the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion doesn’t take showboating lightly. At ONE: Kingdom of Heroes, the two combatants produced one of the most exciting Muay Thai actions in years when they squared off at the Impact Arena in Bangkok.
In one of the sequences, Zatout got a little cocky when he dodged a whipping counter-kick from Nong-O. Obviously, the Thai superstar would have none of that, making the former WBC Muay Thai world champion instantly regret his actions with a series of violent attacks to hurt his opponent.
ONE Championship shared a throwback reel this week, sparking the following comments from fans:

Nong don’t play around
To this day, Nong-O Hama doesn’t show signs of slowing down. At 36, the charismatic fighter takes each Muay Thai match as if it were his last. Expect fireworks again when he faces ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video.
Thus far, the Pattaya-born athlete has had seven successful world title defenses under the ONE banner, including five straight stoppages in his last five outings. Just as wine gets better with age, Nong-O Hama is truly a ferocious force to contend with.
However, his next challenger Jonathan Haggerty is no joke either. The fiery UK sensation is a former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion who owns notable wins against some of the most elite strikers in Thailand, including legendary Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. Although this will be Jonathan Haggerty’s second bout in a heavier division, he’s got oal only and that is to become a world champion once again.
ONE Fight Night 9 goes down at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will be broadcast live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
