Jorge Masvidal has a unique methodology as a fight promoter compared to Dana White from the viewpoint of a mixed martial artist who has fought for both men. Jorge Masvidal helms over Gamebred FC while Dana White is the UFC figurehead with the former promoting bare-knuckle MMA while the latter spotlights MMA that utilizes four-ounce gloves.
Appearing on a recent episode of Bare Knuckle Bowker, Jesse Ronson touched on several subjects following his rear naked choke win over Curtis Millender in the waning seconds of round one from their Nov. 15 contest under the Gamebred Bare Knuckle MMA banner.
As someone who has had multiple fights within the UFC and now has consecutive first-round finishes with Gamebred FC, stalwart Canadian combatant Jesse Ronson has a great perspective on this situation. After referring to Masvidal as a gangster who while quite kind and well-spoken can drop someone at the drop of a dime, Ronson said:
"He [Masvidal] just flat out says it straight up. He's like I just want fireworks guys. I'll pay you, I'll do whatever, just give me good fights. He's like I don't care how old you are, if you lose, or whatever it is. He's like I'm not UFC where we're going to cut you after two fights or three fights. If you're making people scream and getting views."

"You are always welcome back and he's like I'll take care of you. He's like I'll try to meet everything you need. He's a great promoter and you're right because he's fought he understands what it's like... Again I'm not gonna sh*t on Dana White or Scott Coker or whoever runs the PFL, because if they fought and they went through it they would know what it's like."

Jorge Masvidal and the rumblings of a UFC return in 2025
There are some rumors out there that Jorge Masvidal may be returning to the octagon this calendar year and Ronson sees this as a positive if it does come to fruition. Jorge Masvidal's UFC return can also affect some facets of Jesse Ronson's personal return timeline as Ronson has a chance to become Gamebred FC's inaugural welterweight champion in his next outing.
At the 27:09 mark in the above interview for Bare Knuckle Bowker, 'The Body Snatcher' discussed the whispers of the former BMF champion returning to UFC competition when Ronson said:
"So I heard about that. It was like Leon Edwards in March 2025 and I'm like oh sh*t. Because if the boss man's fighting, that means February is out of the question. Because he won't hold a show if he's in training camp. Then if he fights in March it's like alright well maybe after that. But no he's got to take his week off because he leaves his family."
"So it's like as soon as he's done his fight, he goes back and he spends a couple of weeks with his family. So if he does fight in March, the [Gamebred] title fight probably won't be until some time in April. But again, you've got to make money. He's still got that fire burning inside him. I can't fault him for wanting to fight."
