"Not just another fight" - Abdelali Zahidi looking forward to massive opportunity against Marat Grigorian

ONE Friday Fights 92 on Friday, Dec. 20, will feature many young strikers looking to make a name for themselves, which includes Moroccan rising star Abdelali Zahidi. His opponent inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will be acclaimed veteran Marat Grigorian.

Speaking exclusively with the world's largest martial arts promotion, 'Black Diamond' did not deny how important a victory over the Armenian standout would be for his career, saying:

"Facing Marat is not just another fight, but a chance to prove that I am the best."

Zahidi is coming off a sensational promotional debut against Burmese youngster Tun Min Aung at ONE Friday Fights 88 on Nov. 22, where the 25-year-old knocked him out late in the second round with a vicious head-kick.

Meanwhile, the three-time Glory Kickboxing world champion will be fired up to return to the win column at Zahidi's expense after coming up short against rival Superbon this past April over 26 pounds of ONE interim featherweight kickboxing gold.

Grigorian is at his most dangerous when coming off a defeat, which puts the onus on Zahidi to deliver a performance of a lifetime.

Abdelali Zahidi shares strategy for Marat Grigorian challenge

Abdelali Zahidi has complete faith in the strategy he and his team have developed for the Marat Grigorian showdown in the hopes of handing the two-time ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship challenger his fourth loss under the ONE banner.

In an interview with ONE, Zahidi revealed part of his game plan:

"My game plan is to apply constant pressure on him, and I'll be moving quickly and doing technical work to neutralize his fighting style and make it inefficient."
