Aung La N Sang (left) is not looking beyond his next foe Shamil Erdogan (right) ahead of their bout at ONE 168: Denver.

Aung La N Sang is laser-focused on his next challenge when ONE returns to American soil inside the Ball Arena, Denver on Sept. 6. The former two-division ONE kingpin insists that he has no intention of looking beyond Shamil Erdogan, a strong contender that he is scheduled to face at the stacked ONE 168: Denver card.

So far, Aung La has stayed on his course throughout an incredible career, and although he has lost both of his golden belts, the Burmese superstar remained strong in front of adversity and continues to aim to make himself better.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, 'The Burmese Python' was adamant in his focus on Erdogan, saying that he has no plans yet about what he might encounter after this crucial fight.

The 39-year-old said:

"I don’t know. I don’t really look past Shamil. There’s nothing on my mind right now other than getting in a fistfight with Shamil. Nothing else matters right now. There’s nothing in my life right now that matters to me right now. No future plans, nothing."

He added:

"This is my target, Shamil and I are gonna put on a good fight, if he says I’m an easy fight, we’re gonna put on a good fight. Make it look easy now."

Shamil Erdogan warns Aung La N Sang: "Prepare to dive in deep waters"

Shamil Erdogan knows he's facing one of the best MMA fighters in the world's largest martial arts organization on Sept. 6, but he believes his skills are still a level above the Burmese superstar.

With the momentum that he has built throughout his career up to his next scheduled fight at ONE 168: Denver, Erdogan thinks that Aung La N Sang will be the last challenge before he can fight the division's ruler Anatoly Malykhin.

Speaking to ONE Championship, the rising contender explained his reasons:

"It's unlikely that he will be able to defend against my attacks. I'm on a different level in wrestling, so he should prepare to dive into deep waters."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
