Mike Perry is seen by many as the biggest star in the world of bare-knuckle boxing and he has just put a former UFC titleholder in his crosshairs for his next BKFC bout. Perry took to the ring during the final Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event of the calendar year and called out one of the most violent individuals in combat sports history.
During his time on the microphone at BKFC on DAZN 3 on Dec. 21, the King of Violence invoked the name of Robbie Lawler who was live in attendance in Hollywood, Florida. During his in-ring address that also saw the production team cut to a crowd shot of a stoic Lawler, Perry said:
"Who should face me next? I see Robbie Lawler in the crowd and I think he should take the gloves off and he should step inside the squared circle against 'Platinum' Mike Perry."
X users sounded off about this call out and the potential for this fight to be an all-time violent throwdown in the world of gloveless combat.

Mike Perry and Robbie Lawler's prior history
Mike Perry vs. Robbie Lawler sounds like an incredible fight on paper that the UFC matchmakers also thought years ago. The 33-year-old was slated to throw down with Lawler inside of the octagon with the contest initially booked for UFC 255.
The welterweight war slated for Nov. 21, 2020, alas did not come to fruition as an injury to 'Ruthless' caused the high-octane clash at 170 pounds to be scrapped. 'Platinum' would remain on the card and fought Tim Means with Perry losing to 'The Dirty Bird' by unanimous decision.
Revisiting this matchup idea years later in a form of combat that will see both men drop the gloves under the BKFC banner, the intrigue is almost arguably higher for this permutation of the Perry vs. Lawler bout booking. The Michigan native's callout of the former UFC welterweight champion is such an exciting prospective prizefight that it even changed Conor McGregor's mind.
The partial owner of BKFC took to social media after Perry's boxing loss to Jake Paul in July to claim that 'Platinum' Perry was fired from BKFC. However, during the fistic fireworks last night, 'The Notorious' took to his personal X page to indicate his excitement for the as-of-now hypothetical Perry vs. Lawler contest.
