A doctor recently provided a brief explanation of Belal Muhammad's health issue, which led him to withdraw from his title fight at UFC 310. The individual stated that it was quite serious and would have had a negative impact on Muhammad's performance if he had continued with his condition.

Muhammad was scheduled to face Shavkat Rakhmonov for his first welterweight title defense in the main event of UFC 310 on Dec. 7. However, the reigning champion took to social media and announced that he has withdrawn from the title fight due to a bone infection in his left foot.

The 36-year-old provided some information about his health, such as how long he would be taking antibiotics, but he did not specify how the infection developed.

The individual mentioned above is Dr. Yared Vazquez, aka Octagon Doctor, who frequently addresses injuries sustained by MMA fighters. Vazquez recently took to X and opened up about Muhammad's foot condition.

''Wishing Belal a quick recovery. We’ll meet when you’re back at 100%. For now, I’m ready to take on any contender for the interim title at #UFC310''

Belal Muhammad talks about encountering an unexpected obstacle in his life

Belal Muhammad is currently recovering from a foot condition and hopes to return to the octagon on a high note.

In a recent episode of the Remember The Show podcast, Muhammad discussed his health issue with Jason Anik. The reigning champion confessed that the unexpected situation was humbling. He said:

"My brother, man, I miss you. Dude, looking at the last episode, I was like, 'Bro, it's crazy how fast life moves, right? How stuff can switch up in the blink of an eye?' Bro, I got a freaking, a line coming through your arm that you have to walk around with for the next six weeks. But it also kind of humbles you, right? It lets you know what's real in life because you're on top of the world, you're a champion, you got a camp."
