Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury isn't happening, but 'The Cat' and 'The Gypsy King' continue to argue.

The two heavyweight champions were in talks for a clash later this month. They got as far as renting out Wembley Stadium in London and had a targeted date of April 29. Despite that, the fight isn't going to happen.

As is the issue when most fights don't happen in the sport, it comes down to money. For his part, Usyk stated that the two should have a 50/50 revenue split considering both men are champions. At the same time, Fury refused to fight for anything less than 70/30 in his favor.

While the Ukrainian did wind up agreeing to those terms, the matchup won't happen. According to reports, Usyk wanted the terms of a potential rematch to be in his favor 70/30 if he won. Meanwhile, Fury stated that he didn't want one at all.

Nonetheless, Tyson Fury has been on the warpath since the fight's cancelation. The WBC Heavyweight Champion has repeatedly bashed Oleksandr Usyk and the latter has now responded. In an interview with Volodymyr Kobelkov, he stated:

“He says, ’70/30, I am the king. It’s all thanks to me.’ I don’t respond to that. I understand that this is a mental game. The king is the king. And the king does not need to shout that he is the king. He is trying very hard to copy the great Muhammad Ali, but the copy is very bad.”

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury: Who is 'The Cat' fighting now?

Given the cancelation of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury, 'The Cat' is now booking his next fight.

Luckily, he won't have to look for long. In the midst of talks with 'The Gypsy King', the WBA (Super) heavyweight champion was ordered to face Daniel Dubois, who is the regular champion. He was again ordered to face the Brit after talks fell through with Fury.

'Dynamite' is coming off a knockout win over Kevin Lerena in December and is ready to spring an upset. Meanwhile, Usyk has shown interest in facing the heavyweight contender next.

In an interview with Volodymyr Kobelkov, Oleksandr Usyk confirmed that Daniel Dubois is next. He also revealed that the bout is targeted for the summer in the U.K., stating:

“It will probably be Daniel Dubois at the end of the summer… I will go to Britain, I love it very much. My first big achievements were in Britain. Then Anthony Joshua. I like this place, I like the fans, the people.”
