The Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch is considered to be one of the biggest fights in boxing history. Both heavyweight greats are reportedly set to rake in major payouts for the same.

Their first fight went down in May. It was an undisputed heavyweight title match with the big four belts -- WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF -- at stake. Ukraine's Usyk possessed the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF, IBO, and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.

England's Fury had the WBC heavyweight title. Usyk won the barnburner via split decision and became the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Per The Independent, the total fight purse for their first encounter was around $150 million (aka £116 million). The fight agreement reportedly required Fury to donate £1 million from his purse to Ukraine amid its war with Russia.

Fury was expected to bag a 70 percent split from the purse, around $105 million. Top Rank's Bob Arum, who serves as the U.S. promoter for the Englishman, indicated that the towering heavyweight was likely to earn a lot more than $100 million for that matchup.

Usyk's estimated payout was 30 percent of the $150 million total fight purse, which was approximately $45 million.

Moreover, The Independent recently reported that the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch is expected to earn the two fighters a total payout of approximately $191 million (£150 million). The purse split remains unclear, but since Usyk won their previous encounter, the belief is that he'll bag a much higher percentage than he did the first time around.

Usyk vacated his IBF belt soon after their first fight. Presently, he's set to defend his unified heavyweight title -- including the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, IBO, and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles -- against Fury. Their rematch headlines a much-awaited fight card on Dec. 21, 2024.

Alternatively, RBC-Ukraine cited that, per The Sportster, the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch total purse is likely to be $190 million. The purse split is expected to be 60-40 in favor of Usyk, who won their first clash. As such, Usyk is expected to take home $114 million, whereas Fury could bag $76 million from their upcoming fight.

Speaking of the estimated purses, the boxing community was set abuzz by the Englishman's comments about his prizefighting objectives earlier this year. Speaking to Sky Sports Boxing, Fury implied he wouldn't have boxed without pay, adding that money is his main motivator to box:

"What do I fight for? What is my priorities here? What are my goals? What are my targets? And all of those things are to make the most money as possible for me. That's my goals. It's not a belt. It's not a legacy. It's not a boxing fight. It's to make as much money as possible."
