Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier share one of the most heated rivalries in UFC history. The pair have been involved in several fights in the octagon and one notable brawl outside the cage.
Tensions between them reached the boiling point in 2017, and they have simmered since then. They have shared several amicable exchanges since 'Bones' moved to heavyweight in 2021, and Cormier was recently asked to share an honest review of Jones' career.
'DC' will be part of the promotion's commentary team for UFC Edmonton on Nov. 2, and ahead of the bout, he appeared at a fan Q&A alongside Paul Felder and Brendan Fitzgerald.
The former two-division champion was also asked by the fan how he felt being the "son" of Jones, referring to Cormier's defeats to his rival, one of which was overturned to a no-contest after 'Bones' failed a drug test.

The Louisiana native said this:
"[Jones] has beat a lot of guys, the amount of champions that Jon Jones has beaten over the course of his career is very impressive. The guy has been a champion for a long time, he's done a great job. It will suck whenever he's gone, because the game is better when you have fighters like that in it... And on a lighter note, f*ck you."

Daniel Cormier shares confusion at Jon Jones' attitude towards him
Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones shared a memorable rivalry for both the quality of fighting displayed in the octagon when they clashed, as well as the shocking moments often produced when they met outside the octagon.
In the years since their two fights, tensions have calmed radically, with 'Bones' recently declaring it was an "honor" to face Cormier in the octagon.
Despite the bad blood between them having cooled, 'DC' recently expressed his confusion at the manner in which Jones conducts himself when they cross paths now.
During the aforementioned fan Q&A ahead of UFC Edmonton, he shared this:
"[Jones] always comes up to me now, I don't understand that. No matter where we are, he's always coming up to me to shake my hand. It's kinda crazy... I guess we aren't great, and I don't thin we ever have to [be]. People need to stop longing for the perfect happy ending." [21:15-22:18 in the aforementioned Q&A video]
