ONE 168: Stamp believes Alyse Anderson's "longer range" gives her huge advantage over Victoria Souza

Reigning ONE atomweight MMA world champion Stamp Fairtex backs Alyse Anderson to return to winning ways when she takes on Victoria Souza at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.

The Fairtex Training Center affiliate, who beat the American fighter at ONE Championship's on-ground debut event in Colorado last year, sees Anderson's range as something that will cause trouble for Souza whenever they trade in proximity inside the Ball Arena.

Speaking to ONE Championship this week, Stamp highlighted:

"I think Alyse can win, and that she'll be able to dominate the fight. She lost last time, and that should motivate her to win. She's taller, so she should have a big advantange from longer range."

Stamp herself seemed to have initially struggled to close the distance against 'Lil Savage' when they went toe-to-toe at ONE Fight Night 10 inside the sold-out 1stBank Center. However, the Thai was quick to switch her tactics and land a crushing body kick that folded the American inside the second stanza.

That defeat left Alyse Anderson with a 1-2 run on the global stage of martial arts, and she wants nothing more than a victory to close in on Stamp's prized possession.

'Vick,' on the flip side, has gone 2-2 heading into ONE 168: Denver. The 27-year-old Brazilian scored impressive wins over Itsuki Hirata and Linda Darrow but failed to overcome Noelle Grandjean and the late Victoria Lee.

Alyse Anderson confident she'll best Victoria Souza by hook or by crook

Alyse Anderson went back to the drawing board after her loss to Stamp Fairtex, and now she's motivated to turn the tide and dish out a career-defining performance at ONE 168: Denver.

Though she doesn't have an exact prediction, the MMA Masters representative is confident she will overcome Souza by any means necessary.

She told the promotion recently:

"I don't want to put an exact prediction on it. I just know that I'm going to come out on top because of the work I've been putting in."
