Former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus is fully aware that he is going up against one of the emerging forces in ONE Championship in 6-foot-4 phenom Nabil Anane in his next fight. It is something he is using as guide to come up with a fitting gameplan for fight night.
The 39-year-old fighter will battle the streaking Anane in a featured bantamweight kickboxing clash at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. It is his second fight since coming back from a nearly two-year hiatus in June.
In an interview with ONE Championship in line with his upcoming match, Petchtanong shared his take on Anane and what to expect when they touch gloves, saying:
"For Nabil's style, he's tall, long limbs. His punches and kicks are good. He is also good with knees. He can press forward or back down. Overall he is one of the best fighters in this division."

Petchtanong fashioned out an impressive TKO win in his return from a long layoff in June over fellow former bantamweight kickboxing world champion Alaverdi Ramazanov. It is a result he is out to replicate at ONE Fight Night 26 as he angles to make another go at the bantamweight gold.
ONE Fight Night 26 will be aired live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Petchtanong says he is ready for whatever Nabil Anane throws at him
While he is not underestimating the abilities of Nabil Anane, Petchtanong Petchfergus is confident that he will be able to handle whatever his towering opponent will throw at him.
The veteran Thai fighter expressed his readiness in an interview with the Bangkok Post, underscoring that he will banking on his vast experience as a fighter to take head-on Anane's impressive skills set.
"I've already had around 100 fights under the kickboxing rules, and if I fight in these rules, I've got a pretty big advantage. I've collected 30 years of experience. I can handle anything."
At ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, Petchtanong will battle an opponent in Anane who is on a hot streak at the moment, winning his last five matches.
