Young Algerian-Thai fighter Nabil Anane was proud of his latest ONE Championship victory. He even went on to say that it was one of his biggest wins to date in his young Muay Thai career.
The 20-year-old Team Mehdi Zatout affiliate won a unanimous decision over former world title challenger Felipe Lobo of Brazil at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Aug. 2 in Thailand.
Banking on his size and length advantage over the 'Demolition Man', which saw him pummelling his opponent with punishing strikes to the head and body throughout their scheduled three-rounder, Nabil Anane showcased why he is considered one of the emerging forces in the bantamweight division.
At the post-event interview session, the 6-foot-3 fighter spoke about how huge his upset victory was over Lobo, especially since it was fashioned under ONE Championship, saying:

Nabil Anane is not in a rush to get a world title shot

The towering Anane, who, at 20, is one of the emerging forces in the bantamweight Muay Thai division, shared this tack following his most recent victory at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs Balart on Aug. 2 in Thailand. He highlighted that despite his success, he still needs to work on some facets of his game to be worthy of being ONE world champion.
"Not now. I got a lof things to learn, more and more. When I [am ready to] get the belt, I will tell you. But for now, I want to learn more. I want to have more experience, and when I'm ready, I'll be the champion, and I don't want anyone to beat me."
Prior to joining ONE Championship last year, Nabil Anane had experienced some success, winning two WBC Muay Thai world titles, which he hopes to build on in the "Home of Martial Arts."
