ONE Championship has released the official fight card for ONE Fight Night 9.
On April 21, ONE will bring the Amazon Prime Video series to the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. Less than a month before showtime, the Asia-based promotion released the matchups going down in Thailand. There will be six MMA matchups and four in Muay Thai, including a world championship fight in the main event.
ONE posted the fight card on Instagram with the caption saying:
“Your first look at the ONE Fight Night 9 bout card, headlined by the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title showdown between reigning champ Nong-O and British star Jonathan Haggerty 🤩 Who you got? @nongogaiyanghadao @jhaggerty_”

The ONE Fight Night 9 main event features Jonathan Haggerty looking to make a statement in his bantamweight debut. ‘The General’ will take on reigning Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama, who is 10-0 under the ONE banner.
In the co-main event, Halil Amir hopes to maintain his undefeated record after an impressive promotional debut in September 2022. Amir has to get through fellow undefeated fighter Maurice Abevi, who is fighting on the global stage of ONE Championship for the first time. The lightweight matchup might separate one of them as a future title contender.
The April 21 fight card has several other intriguing matchups, including a high-stakes strawweight MMA bout between Bokang Masunyane and Hiroba Minowa, the return of Jhanlo Mark Sangiao, and Black Panther vs. Mark Smith.
ONE Fight Night 9 can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
What should be expected in the ONE Fight Night 9 main event?
There aren’t many ways that Jonathan Haggerty and Nong-O Hama can step into the circle without creating an entertaining fight. Haggerty is a durable warrior who never gives up, while Nong-O is a fundamental nightmare with the ability to take out any opponent in the bantamweight division.
Despite Nong-O being nearly unbeatable, Haggerty has the tools to pull off the upset. ‘The General’ is a former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, and is now avoiding a brutal weight cut by moving up to bantamweight. With that said, taking out the Thai superstar will be easier said than done.
