'Chinga' Chingiz Allazov has had a long and incredible journey to fighting for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title. ONE Championship recently shared the story of the Azerbaijan-Belarusian athlete.
The 29-year-old fighter will be facing Superbon Singha Mawynn for the ONE kickboxing featherweight crown. The highly anticipated match is booked for the main event at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13. The fight card will be live and free to watch for North American fans with a Prime Video subscription.
On Instagram, ONE Championship shared the journey of ‘Chinga’ up to this point in his career:
"[Chingiz Allazov] started training Muay Thai at 10 years old for self defense. Went 204-3 as an amateur and won every tournament he competed in. Claimed the K-1 World Championship twice after turning pro. Lost a close split decision to German star Enriko Kehl in his ONE debut."

But he tightened a few skills and started a dangerous win streak. ONE continued:
"Reached the ONE featherweight kickboxing world grand prix championship final with two 1st-round knockouts. Won the prestigious tournament by defeating 8-time world champion Sittichai Sitsongpeenong. He faces Superbon in Thailand on January 13 for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title."
'Chinga' added some words of wisdom, saying:
"If your coach tells you to do 100 kicks, you do 100 or 120. That would be my advice to young fighters. Respect your family and your coach, and maybe in the future, you will have a big life.
Chingiz Allazov at ONE Fight Night 6
Chingiz Allazov will be looking to take the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title back home with him after fighting Superbon. Fans are eagerly awaiting the headlining fight at ONE fight Night 6 on January 13.
Breaking down his match against the Thai world champion, Allazov told ONE:
“I’m one of the biggest problems for [Superbon]. He knows this. He has good timing, he has a good universal style. I have kicks and power over him. He’s a very good fighter but maybe he makes a little mistake here and it’s a big problem in his fight with me.”
The Azerbaijan-Belarusian fighter will look to prove his words true in the ONE circle. Allazov is highly confident going into his world title conflict, which is set to be the most important match of his storied career.
