ONE strawweight contender Danial Williams is a fan favorite due to his striking prowess, which ONE Championship put on display in a recent montage.
'Mini T' is returning to the circle at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video in a huge main event match. Originally scheduled to compete in a Muay Thai bout, Williams is now set to step in for the injured Rodtang Jitmuangnon to challenge Superlek for the ONE kickboxing world title.
Danial Williams hasn't competed in a striking-exclusive bout since facing the great Rodtang Jitmuangnon back in April 2021. The Australian native fought Rodtang to a unanimous decision defeat in what was a solid showing.

Danial Williams steps in for injured Rodtang Jitmuangnon, will face Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the flyweight kickboxing world title at ONE Fight Night 8
Originally, 'Mini T' was scheduled to face Portugal's Rui Botelho in a Muay Thai showdown, while Superlek Kiatmoo9 was set to defend his flyweight kickboxing world title against the great Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Rodtang unfortunately got hurt and was forced to withdraw from the title bout. Now steps in Danial Williams, as he receives the golden opportunity to challenge Superlek for the flyweight kickboxing throne.
Williams is currently ranked No. 5 in the flyweight MMA and Muay Thai divisions. However, he has never competed under kickboxing rules inside of the circle.
Meanwhile, Superlek attained the vacant title by defeating Spain's Daniel Puertas this past January. The world-class striker has won four straight contests, including a knockout victory over Brazil's Walter Goncalves.
