ONE Championship shares timeline of Tawanchai PK.Saenchai’s greatest achievements

ONE Championship recently posted an image on Instagram to honor Tawanchai PK.Saenchai’s evolution as a fighter.

Tawanchai has accomplished more at 23 years of age than most fighters have in their entire careers. Before becoming the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion, the PK.Saenchai affiliate made a name for himself at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. ONE shared a timeline of his most important achievements on Instagram with the caption:

“FULL CIRCLE 😤 Tawanchai PK.Saenchai returns to where it all BEGAN as he defends the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship against Jamal Yusupov on February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7! 🏆 @tawanchay_pk”

The Instagram post highlights four significant events in Tawanchai’s career - debuting at Lumpinee in 2014, winning a Thailand title in 2017, being awarded the Lumpinee Stadium Fighter of the Year in 2018, and returning to the venue in 2023 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

After winning three of four fights with ONE, Tawanchai earned a world championship opportunity in September 2022. Despite his world-class skills, the 25-year-old was an underdog against four-time champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee. The PK.Saenchai fighter silenced the doubters and secured the featherweight Muay Thai throne with a unanimous decision win.

Tawanchai PK.Saenchai looks to further his legacy at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video

On February 24, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai hopes to defend his featherweight Muay Thai world championship for the first time. Tawanchai will meet Jamal Yusupov in the ONE Fight Night 7 co-main event, with the new world title challenger holding a promotional record of 3-0.

Yusupov made his ONE debut in November 2019, pulling off an upset against the legendary Yodsanklai. ‘Yeniceri’ has fought twice since then, defeating Samy Sana and Jo Nattawut to secure a title shot against Tawanchai. Although he’s sixteen years older than the reigning champion, the 39-year-old can’t be underestimated.

Tawanchai vs. Yusupov joins the ONE Fight Night 7 event headlined by John Lineker vs. Fabricio Andrade 2. The event will take place inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and can be watched live and for free in North America by Amazon Prime Video subscribers.
