ONE Championship strawweight queen Xiong Jing Nan gets her brown belt in jiu-jitsu

ONE strawweight queen Xiong Jing Nan is nearing a decade of fighting at the professional level, and 'The Panda' recently achieved another career goal.

Xiong was awarded her Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt by Alex Silva and the rest of the Evolve MMA family. This comes just a few months after the champ defended her title against Angela Lee at ONE on Prime Video 2.

ONE posted on Instagram:

"Congrats, champ! 🐼 @jingnanxiong @alexsilva1010"

The 34-year-old strawweight queen now has a remarkable seven title defenses, including over Tiffany Teo, Michelle Nicolini, Ayaka Miura, and Lee.

Xiong Jing Nan wants to fight Angela Lee for fourth time

'The Panda' may have bested Angela Lee in two of their three matches, but Xiong isn't quite done with the rivalry just yet.

She recently spoke on the proposition of facing Lee for a fourth time in an interview with ONE, saying:

"Only my team and I know what I had to go through to prepare for this fight. Again, the audience here has a different opinion, but look, I’m always prepared. I’m ready for another fight with Angela Lee, whether it’s kickboxing or it’s MMA."

Xiong Jing Nan continued:

"Let’s go. I want to also thank Angela Lee. Thank you for this spectacular match. I really enjoyed fighting this evolved, better version of you.”

Not only is Xiong the inaugural ONE Championship women's strawweight queen, but no one else has acquired the belt since. She was also the first-ever Chinese world champion in mixed martial arts history.

The future Hall of Famer only has one more thing to add to her list of accomplishments — becoming a simultaneous two-division champion.

Xiong came up short in her first attempt at doing so, losing to Angela Lee for the atomweight belt in 2019. Perhaps their fourth fight will once again be for Lee's strap.
