Fabricio Andrade rose from the shadows of obscurity to become one of the fastest-rising stars in mixed martial arts.
This Friday (US primetime), in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3: Lineker vs. Andrade, ‘Wonder Boy’ has the chance to complete his own Cinderella story. Andrade’s quest for divisional supremacy will take place inside the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, where he’ll trade leather with ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker.
In the build-up to the massive firefight, ONE recently shifted the spotlight to Fabricio Andrade’s remarkable journey through an epic highlight-reel video on YouTube.
Every protagonist, of course, has his own origin story, and Andrade’s just happens to be as inspirational as it gets.

The 25-year-old had to overcome crippling poverty in his native Fortaleza, Brazil. He started training when he was 13 and saw it as a way to improve his quality of life. In just three years’ time, ‘Wonder Boy’ won multiple Muay Thai world titles in Brazil.
However, to truly achieve his full potential, Andrade knew he had to get out of his comfort zone and explore opportunities outside his country. The seemingly wild goose chase took him to multiple stops in China, Hong Kong, and finally, in Thailand – where he found a home at the legendary Tiger Muay Thai gym.
Fabricio Andrade got his big break when he signed with ONE Championship in 2020 and has not looked back since. ‘Wonder Boy’, who won his first five matches inside the circle, including three straight first-round knockouts, reminisced at how far he has come:
“I think I’m so confident because I went through so much difficult stuff, that this is not difficult anymore.”
Now on the cusp of greatness, Fabricio Andrade believes his strong mindset will carry him to his wildest dreams:
“When you have the belt, you are the baddest guy in the division. You are the guy that everyone wants to fight. I feel like I’m the champion. I train like I’m the champion. I eat like I’m the champion. I do everything like I’m the champion already.”
