Third-ranked bantamweight contender ‘Pretty Boy’ Kwon Won Il proved too much for dangerous Mongolian Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg in their bantamweight mixed martial arts contest at ONE Fight Night 18 last weekend.
ONE Fight Night 18: Gasanov vs. Oh on Prime Video broadcast live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, January 13. Kwon scored a second-round TKO finish, bringing the crowd to their feet.
The 28-year-old South Korean showed that he has developed a well-rounded skillset that is not only limited to his incredible striking. Kwon started his attack with immense pressure as he backed Zoltsetseg with his crisp boxing combinations.

Additionally, ‘Pretty Boy’ was able to display his improved grappling skills by taking down his opponent, who has a strong wrestling background, multiple times in the opening round.
The P-Boy MMA representative continued to dominate the second round as the Mongolian was visibly slowing down due to the accumulated damage he received.
Kwon escaped a guillotine choke submission attempt from Zoltsetseg in the first minute of the second round, but when he finally made it out of danger, ‘Pretty Boy’ punished him with vicious punches and elbow strikes from the mount until referee Herb Dean was forced to end the match at the 2:40 mark of round two and officially declare the South Korean as the winner.
‘Pretty Boy’ improved his ONE Championship record to nine wins and four losses while sending Zoltsetseg to a 5-3 win-loss card. He now rides a three-fight win streak that dates back to November 2022, retaining his place in the upper echelon of the bantamweight division and keeping his hopes alive of finally fighting for the ONE bantamweight MMA world title.
