Mongolian veteran contender Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu and 28-year-old Ecuadorian athlete Aaron Canarte fought in a catchweight MMA match on Saturday evening. The match was part of the ONE Fight Night 27 card, which took place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Baatarkhuu gunned for his fifth win under the world's largest martial arts organization, while Canarte still hunts for his breakthrough victory in the promotion after dropping his first two matches.

Round 1: Baatarkhuu landed an early head kick that wobbled Canarte in the match's opening stages. But Canarte recovered and settled into the match by engaging in a clinch battle, pressing Bataarkhuu against the ring's corner. During this period, he was able to land several knee strikes.

Baatarkhuu broke the clinch to get the action back in the middle of the ring, where he attempted a spinning back kick. Then, the Mongolian imposed his superior grappling skills by pressing Canarte onto the ropes.
From there, it was all Baatarkhuu as he maneuvered his way into an armbar submission attempt, but Canarte defended it by rolling in the ring. However, Baatarkhuu swiftly transitioned into a deep Kimura to force a tap out of Canarte and end the match in the first round.
