Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri and Kirill Khomutov gave it their all in this thrilling bantamweight war that closed out a high-octane ONE Friday Fights 89 card on Nov. 29.
The stand-up specialists went the distance in this Muay Thai duel, surviving each other's attacks and testing their chins with constant combinations that came at full blast throughout the allotted nine minutes. In the end, it was Yod-IQ who eked out a split decision win.
Before he got his hand raised, however, the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym athlete had to scramble whenever he was in the pocket as Khomutov bit on his mouthpiece early in search of his fourth knockout on ONE Friday Fights.
Despite having early success, the Thai began to settle in as the opening frame progressed. The 22-year-old relied on his teep kicks to push his foe back and followed up with kick-punch combinations that gave him the edge heading into round two.

Khomutov reminded his foe that he wasn't going anywhere, though. The 26-year-old knockout specialist started strong again, using his power and movement to land the better shots. Instead of going back to his kicking game, Yod-IQ switched things up and went to work off an effective counter-punching game.
Like the previous frames, round three started with one-sided traffic from Khomutov's corner. The Empire Club and Kuzbass Muaythai Team star went head-hunting with heavy artillery. Unfortunately, he soon began fading — and Yod-IQ made the most of this window to finish strong and land with volume to impress two of the three judges at ringside.
With the split decision triumph, the Thai moved to 7-1 on ONE Friday Fights and 122-36 overall.
