ONE Friday Fights 94 results and recap: Akif Guluzada ethers Puengluang with brutal one-shot knockout

Akif Guluzada proved why he's one of the best prospects on the planet.

The 19-year-old phenom scored a brilliant one-shot knockout finish of Puengluang Baanramba in their flyweight Muay Thai matchup in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 94 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium on Jan.17.

The action was slow to pick up in the fight, with both fighters content on gauging the distance and pace in the opening round.

Puengluang then changed the tempo at the start of the second and lunged at Guluzada to force his offense against the Azerbaijani star's guard.

The young star held off the advance with his jabs, but Puenglang looked relentless in his approach.

Akif Guluzada, however, had one trick up his sleeve amid Puengluang's onslaught.

With Puengluang moving forward and bringing the action to the ropes, Guluzada unleashed a blinding spinning back elbow that shut the Thai slugger's lights off 1:17 into the second round.

The win pushed Guluzada's record under the ONE Championship banner to a perfect 3-0, and 18-2 in his professional career.
