ONE on Prime Video 5 fully delivered on the hype that it promised, and it certainly had the thousands of Filipino fans inside Mall of Asia Arena in excitement.

Interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin made history when he beat Reinier de Ridder via first-round knockout to capture the light heavyweight world championship at Friday’s main event.

Malykhin joined the exclusive club of two-division world champions when he added the 225-pound world title to his interim heavyweight world championship.

The Russian superstar was force personified when he tagged De Ridder repeatedly with some of the heaviest shots the Dutch fighter ever faced. ‘Sladkiy’ looked unstoppable as he folded De Ridder with dangerous ground-and-pound that forced the referee to stop the match 4:35 into the first.

The victory didn’t just make Malykhin a double world champion, he also earned a double bonus for a total of $100,000 from ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

In the co-main event, Kade Ruotolo retained the lightweight submission grappling world championship when he scored a unanimous decision win against Matheus Gabriel. Ruotolo was absolutely on fire from the get-go, attacking with a plethora of submissions while exhibiting stellar defensive skill.

The American grappling phenom was relentless in his offense and displayed, once again, an insane level of athleticism in search of his submission attempts. Ruotolo even executed a perfect flip and transitioned to a tight kneebar that Gabriel, surprisingly, escaped from.

In the end, it was Ruotolo’s night as he secured his third straight win in the promotion

The welterweight match between Murad Ramazanov and Roberto Soldic ended in an unfortunate no-contest following an accidental groin shot in the first round.

Ramazanov had Soldic pinned against the cage, but one of his strikes accidentally hit the Croatian star in the groin. Even after spending the entirety of the mandatory injury time, Soldic was unable to continue and the fight was ultimately declared a no-contest.

Jackie Buntan captured an all-important win when she took down fierce rival Amber Kitchen via unanimous decision in their 130-lb catchweight Muay Thai bout.

The two fighters used the first round gauging each other, but things immediately took a shift in the second with Kitchen utilizing her length to keep her distance against Buntan. Buoyed by the Filipino crowd, Buntan closed the gap and used her boxing to get her offense in.

Buntan continued her assault in the third, blasting Kitchen with several combinations forcing the British star to go on the back foot. Sensing that she had Kitchen in trouble, Buntan pressed on with her combinations to send her rival crashing down a minute into the third round.

Lowen Tynanes scored a crucial victory when he beat South Korea’s Dae Sung Park via split decision in their lightweight contest.

The Hawaiian star made a triumphant return to the circle and used his wrestling to control Park throughout the three-rounder. Tynanes secured his eighth win in the promotion and 11th overall in his career.
