Johan Ghazali is ready to put 2024 behind him by making his return to action in the first month of the new year.
'Jojo' wasn't flawless throughout the previous year but that experience could be invaluable for him.
2024 was the year in which he suffered his first loss under the ONE Championship banner when he came up short against Vietnamese slugger Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167.
The Malaysian-American teenager will look to put this defeat behind him when he returns to the same venue, the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Though ONE Fight Night 27 is set to kick off 2025 in explosive fashion, ONE 170 later on in the month is where the year reaches an early high.
The Jan. 24 card is absolutely stacked and that gets Johan Ghazali excited to be a part of it.
He's featured on some big events in the past but it clearly isn't getting old for the rising 18-year-old star who spoke about what it means to him to feature on ONE 170 during the virtual media day:
"It's amazing. It's really amazing. This is one of the reasons why I work so hard, to compete on cards like these."
Johan Ghazali is one of the reasons why this card is so stacked
Johan Ghazali is clearly excited and proud to be sharing the ONE 170 card with so many great martial artists and elite level competitors.
However, it can't be overlooked that one of the reasons why this card is so massive is the amount of great fights that are set to take place and Ghazali's contest certainly falls into that category.
On Jan. 24, he will take on the incredibly dangerous Johan Estupinan in a battle of two of the most exciting rising contenders in the promotion. The Rentap Muay Thai Gym and Superbon Training Camp representative hopes to be the first man to hand the Colombian a defeat, while the latter will have his eyes on the biggest win in his promotional run.
As such, fans can expect fireworks from start to finish when they collide at ONE 170.
