Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Jonathan Haggerty had their first unofficial face-off ahead of their Denver super fight, and things quickly reached a fever pitch between the two striking superstars.
The reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion will move up in weight and challenge Haggerty for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 at Ball Arena.
Things have largely stayed distant between Superlek and Haggerty, but proceedings came to a head in the middle of ONE Friday Fights 72 in Bangkok.
Superlek was in attendance at Lumpinee Stadium, while Haggerty was in the corner of his younger brother Freddie for the match against Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang.

Mitch Chilson, ONE Championship's trusted color commentator, interviewed the pair, and the two momentarily butted heads after their time on the mic.
A few hours after the meeting, Superlek took to Instagram to stir the pot even further.
Superlek, however, acknowledged that he got a bit too rough against Haggerty.
"It doesn't matter if you're small or big, only the heart is guaranteed. ⚡️🤫🤫 Sorry for being aggressive 🤍❤️," he wrote.
Superlek is one of the most dangerous strikers on the planet, and his fight against Haggerty could become the most important one of his career.
'The Kicking Machine' is 14-1 in ONE Championship with an almost unstoppable 10-fight winning streak.
Among those who faced Superlek's wrath are Japanese legend Takeru Segawa, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Daniel Puertas, and Panpayak Jitmuangnon.
Superlek now plans to add Haggerty, who also holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title, to his hit list.
Superlek reveals Liam Harrison invited him for a joint training camp
Superlek has been putting in the work since his matchup against Jonathan Haggerty in Denver was announced earlier this year.
His preparation, though, could reach another level after his revelation that Liam Harrison invited him to train together a few weeks before ONE 168.
Superlek said in an interview with ONE Championship.
"I may join his fight camp before Denver. Liam has invited me to train with him and mentioned that he's rooting for me to win against Haggerty."
Harrison is also part of the stacked one 168 card, and he'll take on Thai legend Seksan in a catchweight Muay Thai bout.
