Tracy Cortez reignited her rivalry with Ailin Perez after the Argentine fighter failed to make weight for her UFC Paris fight against Darya Zheleznyakova. Perez weighed 136.6 pounds, 0.6 pounds above the weight limit for a non-title bantamweight contest. Previously, she had mocked Cortez when the American struggled to make weight for her UFC Denver showdown against Rose Namajunas in July.

While Perez emerged victorious with a first-round submission over Zheleznyakova, she will have to forfeit 20 percent of her fight purse to her opponent for missing weight. Cortez took to X to fire a stinging jab at Perez for struggling on the weighing scale:

"Y’all won't catch me talking sh** here on social media BUT my oh MY how the tables have turned. 136.6 [pounds] lol"

In another post, Cortez wrote:

"The @onlyf*ns will help you with that 20% deduction."

In July, Cortez had to cut a significant portion of her hair to make weight against Namajunas and suffered a lopsided defeat in the five-round main event.

Responding to Cortez's comments, Perez wrote on X:

"I would rather lose 20% of my purse than half my hair along with the fight @TracyCortezmma."

She then went on to call out Cortez for a bantamweight showdown.

Perez continued to play the one-upping game and criticized Cortez for talking trash without tagging her in her social media posts.

Cortez has competed in the flyweight division for the majority of her professional MMA career. Her sole bantamweight appearance came in November 2019 when she defeated Vanessa Melo by unanimous decision in her UFC debut.

Meanwhile, Perez started her career in the flyweight division but hasn't competed in the weight class since.
