Mikey Musumeci has always been one of the most wholesome fighters on the planet, and he quickly reassured Danielle Kelly that there's always a silver lining to any career defeat.

The reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion saw how Kelly relinquished the ONE atomweight submission grappling world title to Mayssa Bastos in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 24.

Kelly's coach Enrique Galarza quickly posted on Instagram that Kelly wasn't down in the dumps following the loss, while Musumeci also reassured the American star that there would always be new matches to conquer after the defeat.

Mikey Musumeci wrote in the comments section of Galarza's post:

"Onto the next one ❤️🙏."

Bastos and Kelly put on one of the most exhilarating submission grappling matches of the year, with both fighters aggressively hunting for that match-ending submission hold or choke.

Kelly was the first to secure a catch when she trapped Bastos in a heel hook in the final three minutes of the match, but the Brazilian superstar even the score with a leg lock shortly after.

The final minute of the match saw Kelly and Bastos going for the Hail Mary submission lock, but time ultimately ran out.

In the end, all three judges unanimously scored in favor of Bastos as she claimed the ONE atomweight submission grappling world title.

Mikey Musumeci guns for a second world title against Kade Ruotolo in Denver
