At ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, Osamah Almarwai will step inside the Circle for the first time for a huge submission grappling contest.

At ONE Championship’s first ever live event in the United States, Almarwai will take on the reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion ‘Darth Rigatoni’ Mikey Musumeci.

Live from the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado on May 5, the card features some of the promotion’s biggest names in Muay Thai, MMA and submission grappling.

Whilst this will be the first time that they have competed against one another, Musumeci has seen Almarwai compete up close and personal. Attending last year’s ADCC world championships, the world champ watched Almarwai compete against one of his teammates.

After his first world title defense at ONE Fight Night 6 where he defeated Gantumuur Bayanduren, Musumeci mentioned Osamah Almarwai by name as a potential opponent for him next time out and that got the challenger excited.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Almarwai spoke about his anticipation for this match-up and how he believes that Mikey Musumeci's unique style makes it more interesting:

“I like his game. He’s always hunting for submissions. He’s a leg-locker, for sure. We saw it in the last match. It will be interesting.”

Leg locks were a huge part of Musumeci’s last outing inside the Circle where he defeated Bayanduuren. Despite the contest going to a decision at the end of the time limit, it was clear that the world champion had retained after his opponent refused to tap to some difficult to watch leg locks attempts.

At ONE Fight Night 10, the ONE flyweight submission grappling world championship is just one of three world titles on the line. North American fans can catch all the action live and for free via Prime Video.
