Third-ranked ONE flyweight MMA contender and former ONE world title challenger 'The King' Danny Kingad of the Philippines was part of a major contingent of ex-Team Lakay members to leave the famed Baguio City-based stable to form a new team.
That team is Lions Nation MMA, headed by none other than multi-time ONE lightweight MMA world champion Eduard 'Landslide' Folayang. Kingad is happy to reunite with his stablemates at Lions Nation MMA, and he is excited about what the future holds for the rest of the team.

Danny Kingad says Lions Nation MMA separates itself with unparalleled "passion for training"
'The King' Danny Kingad believes he's with the right team because Lions Nation MMA consists of a motivated group of athletes who he considers as brothers.
The team trains vigorously, feeding off each other's energy and learning from individual experiences. They have produced world champions such as 'The Rock' Honorio Banario, 'The Passion' Joshua Pacio, and their leader, Eduard Folayang.
Kingad said of Lions Nation MMA:
"I think we’re more free in terms of training. It’s different from before because back then, we usually focused on specific things. Now, we get to explore which areas we want. But our passion for training is still there, and our goal to get to World Championship level remains."
