Paddy Pimblett recently came to his own defense after netizens bashed him for holding on to his choke on Denis Frimpong despite a tapout during a recent sparring session. Pimblett claimed that his action wasn't out of the conditions specified for the session.

The sparring session between Pimblett and Frimpong was a result of their long-standing feud. Frimpong added another chapter to it recently when Pimblett was being negotiated to feature in the upcoming UFC London card currently scheduled for 23 March. He fired a shot at 'The Baddy' saying Pimblett wouldn't be "fit" to fight at UFC London.

After some more back-and-forth, Pimblett decided to settle his differences with Frimpong in a sparring session. The viral video of the session showcased that both fighters stayed on their feet and traded strikes in the initial minutes of the session.

But Pimblett took his opponent down in the final moments and went on to secure a rear-naked choke, which forced a tap from Frimpong. The video also displayed Pimblett refusing to give up his chokehold on Frimpong even after the latter's tapout. The British UFC lightweight received some flak from fans for this.

However, a recent X update from @ChampRDS displayed that Pimblett didn't have any regret regarding his actions. The Liverpudlian also justified his act of holding on to the choke, mentioning that they had agreed to a "no-tapping" session of sparring. Pimblett penned:

"He agreed to no tapping beforehand. You [all are] bu**hurt idiots who don't know what you're talking about. Just pipe down, don't talk when you don't know the context. [It’s] not my fault he tapped like a 🐈 when he was saying he was going to KO me on the feet and got outstruck."

Denis Frimpong's prediction related to UFC London and Paddy Pimblett could materialize

Denis Frimpong revamped his beef with Paddy Pimblett with a comment about the latter's featuring on the UFC London card. Several reports revealed what Frimpong said about Pimblett:

"He won’t be fit for the Vegas event let alone the London one."

A look at the UFC's official website reveals that the authorities have already elected the fighters to be featured on the 22 March card. Surprisingly, Pimblett failed to earn a spot on the card despite the event taking place in his home country. The current fight card suggests the chances of Frimpong's prediction coming to life are indeed pretty high.
