Paddy Pimblett picked up the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career on his last trip to the octagon. He defeated Bobby 'King' Green via first-round submission at UFC 304 in July to enter the lightweight rankings for the first time. 'The Baddy' recently revealed that he is hoping to make one more appearance before the end of the year.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the No.15-ranked lightweight initially discussed his out-of-camp weight, which has often been scrutinized, stating:
"I'm about 195 [pounds], something like that. I don't think that's that heavy, personally. Other people might do, where they don't understand weight cuts and that, but I reckon most MMA fighters - especially UFC fighters - would say, 'yeah, that's about normal'. People just need to stop making a big deal of it, lad. Just because I have cheeks like Chris Griffin doesn't mean I am Chris Griffin."

"I think I'm going to get asked to fight again before the end of the year, but as I said, we'll see what happens. I could have other things that I need to do. We need to see how my boy Renato [Moicano] gets on, don't we?"

Pimblett and Moicano have both expressed interest in a potential matchup. The No.11-ranked lightweight will first have to get past Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Fight Night 243 this weekend.
Renato Moicano believes Paddy Pimblett is a tougher matchup than Dan Hooker
Renato Moicano recently praised Paddy Pimblett for his UFC 304 performance against Bobby 'King' Green. Speaking to Damon Martin of MMA Fighting, he claimed the No.15-ranked lightweight is a tougher matchup than No.5-ranked lightweight Dan Hooker, stating:
"I am very impressed. I think, after the Bobby Green fight, I think Paddy Pimblett is a tougher matchup than Dan Hooker. Back in the day, I would be crazy to say that, but right now, we saw what Dan Hooker did to Mateusz Gamrot. He got caught many, many times in the first round and it was a close fight."
He continued:
"I don't think he didn't win, but if you see the way Paddy Pimblett finished Bobby Green - and Bobby Green is not an easy guy to submit - and the way he did it, so props to Paddy Pimblett. I was one of the doubters, but he did great. He did a great job and he needs and he deserves some respect. Not much, but some respect."

Moicano will look to continue his ascent and extend his winning streak to four this weekend. Pimblett has previously expressed interest in coaching The Ultimate Fighter opposite the No.11-ranked lightweight.
