Paddy Pimblett recently expressed his desire to potentially face Conor McGregor or Colby Covington in his upcoming bout. 'The Baddy' clinched the biggest win of his UFC career to date by submitting Bobby Green at UFC 304 in July, and now he has his sights set on facing one of the other two notable trash talkers in the promotion.
During a recent interview with OLGB (via BJPENN.com), Pimblett outlined his plans to make a comeback to the octagon and revealed his longstanding ambition to fight 'The Notorious'. If that matchup doesn't come to fruition, he expressed a keen interest in facing Covington instead:
"Yeah, if they got on me now and asked if you want to fight Conor McGregor in December, Of course, I’d say yes; I’m not f**king stupid. Or Colby as well, because I think he’s a pr**k."
'The Baddy' further stated that he is conscious that the former UFC interim welterweight champion had adopted the role of the bad guy as part of his persona; however, that did not endear him to 'Chaos':

"He is so fake. Every UFC staff I’ve spoken to says he’s such a nice person. I’m like, but why is he a bellend then? So like, he’s a proper nice person behind the camera – and then it’s like, well, he’s just a knobhead then because he is fake. I don’t like that lad. I used to watch wrestling when I was a kid, but [his behavior] that’s proper wrestling. Nah, I’m not into it."
When Colby Covington clapped back at Paddy Pimblett’s critique
Ahead of his title bout against then-champion Leon Edwards at UFC 296 in December 2023, Colby Covington faced intense backlash from the MMA community for ridiculing the late father of 'Rocky', with Paddy Pimblett among his notable critics.
During his appearance on the PBD Podcast, 'Chaos' responded to Pimblett's biting comments, asserting that the British fighter has no charisma and is not skilled enough to compete against the UFC’s top-tier talent. He said:
"I don’t really think about it, but obviously, my first reaction to it now is just laughing because there’s no substance in all those people. They’re talking the talk; they’re not going to walk the walk. Paddy… if he didn’t have a bowl cut and an accent, nobody would care about Paddy. He’s not even a good fighter. He’ll never be a top-30 fighter. The closest he’ll ever get to fighting for a world title is if he got on his knees and came and sniffed my jockstrap."
