Paddy Pimblett made a touching speech following his win at UFC London earlier this year, where he spoke about men's mental health and losing a friend. The speech went viral and the UFC star received a lot of praise for talking about a subject that does not get much attention. Ahead of his next fight against Jared Gordon, Pimblett met a fan who claimed the speech saved his life.

The fan, whose name is Grant Edmond, walked up to 'The Baddy' to pose for a picture and said:

"I'm a big fan. I wanted to tell you, your video about the suicide thing saved my life."

The fan later explained:

"I had gone through a rough year this year and I was very suicidal, and Paddy's message when he was in the ring, after he won, talking about his buddy that passed away, saved my life and I just wanted to say thank you to him."

Just before his UFC London fight against Jordan Leavitt, Paddy Pimblett got a call about his close friend who committed suicide after suffering from depression. 'The Baddy' sent a strong message saying men should open up and speak more to prevent such things from happening because he would rather have his friend crying on his shoulder than him taking his own life.

Paddy Pimblett talks about the cost-of-living crisis and how he wants to help people

Paddy Pimblett gave his thoughts on the increased cost of living, especially in the UK. The Scouser recently started his own foundation called The Baddy Foundation which aims to help young kids who are surviving on food banks, as well as to tackle men's mental health. In a recent interview with JOE UK, he spoke about the problem:

"Even in ours lad, looking at the smart meter every day, it used to be like three quid [pounds]. Now every day it's like 12 quid, so I don't understand how a family of like five are living and getting by. It really is heat or eat for them. It's horrible to see, it's just the rich get richer and the poor get poorer... It's getting harder and harder for the working class and I just want to be a voice for them."

Paddy Pimblett wants to be a voice for the working class and help bring food to their table during these testing times. The Scouser has shot to fame in just three fights in the UFC and is looking to use his newfound success to help people.
