Paddy Pimblett has revealed why he thinks UFC fighters are more athletic than any other sportsperson.

The Liverpudlian has risen to fame ever since joining the UFC, with many calling him the second coming of Conor McGregor. His trademark hairstyle and Scouse accent made him an instant star in the MMA world. In a recent episode of his podcast, he spoke to Frank Grillo about athleticism:

"I don't care what anyone says, all the other sports, I think we (UFC fighters) are the most athletic out of them all. The training we do, what we put our body through."

Frank Grillo added:

"And the mental capacity that you have got to have to want to run away and still stand there. To understand what it means to be exhausted and then, you start fighting again. This isn't what we're meant to do, we're fight or flight, so when we're tired, we start running."

Grillo talked about the most basic human instinct of flight or fight, and how UFC fighters have to fight against the urge to run away when they're hurt and tired inside the ring. Paddy Pimblett then went on to give an example of one of his fights a few years ago where he broke his hand in the very first round. 'The Baddy' was unable to rear-naked choke his opponent because he could not feel his hands.

He kept fighting through the pain and ended up breaking his hand again in the second round.

Paddy Pimblett responds to Jake Paul's offer of a $1 million sparring match

Paddy Pimblett and Jake Paul recently went back and forth on social media after 'The Baddy' called Paul's fight against Anderson Silva 'staged'. 'The Problem Child' was offended by the Scouser's remarks, and offered to spar him for $1 million to prove his boxing skills:

"Let's spar, fly to Puerto Rico, I'll get you a private jet, we can do five, three-minute rounds boxing. If you win, I'll give you a million dollars."

'The Baddy' responded by saying:

"Challenge accepted but I'm not coming to Puerto Rico when I'm fighting next Saturday. If you wanna come and spar, get to the PI (UFC Performance Institute) next week. I'll fight Saturday, I'll chill Sunday, and I'll beat you up Monday."

Paddy Pimblett wants the YouTuber to come to the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas and proposes to spar following his fight against Jared Gordon. 'The Baddy' will fight Gordon on Saturday night and is ready to spar with Paul on Monday.
