Paddy Pimblett has opened up about Jake Paul calling him out and issuing a challenge for a sparring session, saying that he only did it for "clout."
Pimblett joined Michael Bisping for an interview on BT Sport, previewing his upcoming fight with Jared Gordon at UFC 282 this Saturday.
During the conversation, Paul's name came up and the UFC lightweight gave his opinion about the YouTuber-turned-boxer's $1 million sparring offer, saying:
"Why would I go to Puerto Rico for you, you little bum? I'm a real fighter, you're a YouTuber, shut your mouth... As I said, I told him to come to the PI [UFC Performance Institute]... We were DMing in fact and he said, 'I've got meetings with the WBA that week, I can't. You come the week later.' He's just doing it for clout, like Logan [Paul] keeps talking about me for clout... They're never going to have a fight with me."

'The Baddy' is confident that he would have no trouble in a fight against 'The Problem Child'. He even made a prediction of what would transpire if he fought Paul, saying:
"If he wants to have a boxing spar and it comes down to it... I'll just pick and drop him on his head and stomp on his face... You know what the worst thing is though, Mike, the worst thing, he said, 'Whoever wins the spar'. You don't win a spar. If you wanna have a fight with me, let's get it on. Get your managers to talk to my manager and we'll sort it through the UFC and whoever you want to sort it with."
Paul hasn't responded to Pimblett, but it doesn't seem like 'The Baddy' has any intentions of sparring him on his terms.

Will Paddy Pimblett fight at UFC 286 in London, England?
It will be interesting to see whether Paddy Pimblett makes a quick turnaround following UFC 282 as it was recently announced that The O2 arena in London, England, will host of UFC 286 on March 18.
It is believed that the event will be headlined by a trilogy bout between Kamaru Usman and reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards. If so, it would be logical to include 'The Baddy' on the main card, especially considering that he is quickly becoming one of the promotion's biggest stars.
If 'The Baddy' defeats Jared Gordon decisively and isn't injured in the process, it wouldn't be surprising if the promotion targets UFC 286 for his next bout.
However, during his conversation with Bisping, Pimblett mentioned April or May as realistic targets given his desire to take a break in the New Year. But despite UFC 286 possibly being sooner than he'd hope, the event taking place close to home could perhaps be enticing for him.
