Paulo Costa detailed his recent chat with UFC's Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell, placing contractual disputes at the focal point of the discussion.
The Brazilian middleweight's fan following has grown in recent times owing to his self-deprecating sense of humor and rib-tickling content. With that in mind, 'Borrachinha' indubitably wants to get paid and has expressed discontent with his current contract several times.

Detailing the conversation he had with Campbell in a recent interview with Submission Radio, Paula Costa stated:

"What can I say? I was direct to the point....and I was not there to hangout or chat. I just went direct to the point. He understands. He agrees. He said, 'You're right! I will make an offer back.' But he didn't yet."

Paulo Costa was last seen in the octagon against Luke Rockhold, engaging in a 15-minute back-and-forth battle in the co-main event. While the former UFC middleweight champion had his moments fighting for the first time in more than three years, Costa was clearly the better man, leaving Rockhold battered and bloodied by the end of the bout.
Will Paulo Costa stay in the UFC?
Paulo Costa has been vocal about his discontentedness with his current contract in the UFC. The Brazilian is scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia, later next year.
However, 'Borrachinha' has claimed on social media that he is yet to receive any contract for the fight and will not be making the trip down under.
Speaking about whether he wants to continue fighting in the UFC in the aforementioned interview, Costa claimed:
"UFC is a very good company, the biggest one in MMA. [But] it depends on the terms. We can see good opportunities in the fight sports, we have boxing. Boxing is a great thing going on right now. A lot of big names [and] it makes a lot of sense to me."
He further added:
"MMA is so hard. You need to train a lot. It's a lot of work and the payment, atleast in my case, not worth all this work. I love MMA, MMA brought me here, I'm so grateful, but sometimes you need to pay bills bro."
