It appears that UFC middleweight Paulo Costa is sticking to his claims of not fighting Robert Whittaker at UFC 284.
'Borrachinha' recently uploaded a post on Twitter where he said that he would not be a part of the Perth card as he had not been paid for the same by the UFC. Costa further wrote that he was seriously out of the UFC but followed it with an upside down smiling emoji:
"Guys sending me this, I feel sad for Robert because the UFC didn't tell him the truth lol, you don't deserve this. Bro, sorry I won't fight you in Perth UFC posting this (Robert vs Costa)just to sell tickets, you need to realize that.They didn't pay me, I'm out! I’m not joking," wrote Paulo Costa.

Costa has been talking about not fighting in Perth for quite some time now. But due to the Brazilian's unique sense of humor on social media, it has been difficult for people to figure out whether the former title challenger is joking or not.
In a recent interview with 'Submission Radio,' Costa said that he was interested in fighting 'The Reaper' but had not received a contract for the same from the UFC. The UFC's official website currently shows Whittaker vs. Costa as part of the UFC 284 fight card that will take place in February.

Robert Whittaker recently appeared on 'Submission Radio' where he discussed Paulo Costa's comments about not competing at the UFC 284 card in February.
'The Reaper' said that he was training very hard for the upcoming fight and was dead set on competing in Perth, whether against the Brazilian or someone else.
Whittaker added that Paul Costa might have been attempting a PR stunt with his recent statements:
"I signed a contract and I'm training my butt off and I'm starving myself to get down to the weight limit. Someone is getting beaten up in February. What he's doing, he's a notorious troll for sort of that stuff. So, I'm not paying too much attention and I don't think anybody should pay too much attention to the dude that walks around with a bottle that says 'Secret Juice' on it."
