Paulo Costa has taken on a new-found personality over the last several months, though it's not clear why. The Brazilian has gone from being a fairly stoic and intense individual to one of the biggest trolls in the UFC.
'Borrachina' has taken aim at many fighters, such as Jon Jones, Kamaru Usman, and Islam Makhachev, often poking fun at their misfortune. His latest victim is none other than Sean Strickland, who is also known for taking potshots at fellow UFC fighters.
One of Costa's fans sent him an old photo of Strickland sporting long hair, joking that it was the fan's sister. 'Borrachinha' saw the opportunity and responded with:
"Damn She is hot as f**k. If I haven't Tamara I would smash"

Costa and Sean Strickland have traded words in the past. In March 2022, 'Borrachinha' called out 'Tarzan' on Twitter for claiming that Strickland was running from him.
Following the aftermath of the Costa-Khamzat Chimaev incident at the UFC Performance Institute (PI), Strickland labeled the pair as "a bunch of women."
With 'Tarzan' coming off a loss and Costa being 1-2 in his last three bouts, a fight between the two middleweights could be announced in the future.
Paulo Costa fires shots at Khamzat Chimaev following the Brazilian's Twitter fan poll
Paulo Costa recently released a fan poll on Twitter, asking fans to pick his next opponent. The list consisted of Joe Biden, Robert Whittaker, Dana White, and a nurse.
"Who should I fight next?"

'Borrachinha' then followed up by tweeting that Khamzat Chimaev did not make the list but would have appeared just below the nurse. Costa then added that 'Borz' is still hiding from him at welterweight:
"Goutmet Chen Chen was the most voted after the nurse. But unfortunately he is illegible, still hiding under welterweight. UFC source"

Paulo Costa and Chimaev had an altercation in early September at the UFC PI, and the tension has been brewing ever since.
Despite 'Borz' having fought twice at middleweight in the UFC, his coach is adamant that he should focus on 170lbs for now. This means a fight between 'Borrachinha' and Chimaev could only be a possibility once the Chechen-born Swede becomes the welterweight champion.
